Welcome! I have been doing freelance graphic design for about 15 years and web design for about 8. I provide high-quality, affordable design and project management services to a variety of small businesses and non-profit organizations.
The Boys & Girls Aid Society of Oregon needed to produce updated material to support their 3 core programs: Adoption (with separate audiences of Birthparents and Adoptive Families); Foster Parenting; Mentoring. I produced this series of brochures which defined the look and feel of all of their subsequent materials.

The problem with getting someone to take action on an issue is usually making someone notice the issue even exists in the first place. Then she has to actually care enough to do something about it. 8.5" x 11" Fact Sheets are an all-too-common method of delivering the message, but lack compelling visual interest or easy-to-find information. These cards were easy to pass out in a variety of venues, and gave the recipient cocktail party conversation to boot.

As the designer and editor of this 3x/year newsletter, my priorities were to create an actionable piece that compelled the recipient to do something: donate, attend a special event, talk to a legislator or utilize a service. This piece also provided our strongest branding collateral in terms of providing a recognizable set of elements that really said to our supporters "Planned Parenthood of the Columbia/Willamette".

Planned Parenthood traditionally does a National Condom Week campaign with posters, advertisements and free condom distribution. The theme was usually "Why Condoms? Because they work." This year I changed it up to the more pro-active statement "Condoms Work" with this great stock photography which was very well received.

Need: create a low-cost, semi-casual invitation for a fundraising event with the Governor. Solution: 4/c digital oversized postcard for easy distribution and immediate impact.

This billboard, placed on a highway in north Vancouver was focused on Planned Parenthood's strength as a "trusted resource for women's health issues" as well as tapping into the broad appeal of the usage of birth control.

Logo created for an annual fundraiser intended to bring in a new generation of donors.
